Governing Councils

Greek organizations on campus are governed by one of four councils: Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council and Panhellenic Council.  In addition to the four governing bodies, there is also a Greek Council.  The Greek Council is comprised of the individual chapter presidents and is the voice of the 29 nationally recognized organizations on campus.

Interfraternity Council (IFC) - governs the fraternities on campus and is a member of the National Interfraternity Conference (NIC).  The following organizations are established and active on Georgia State University’s campus.

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) – governs the ethnically and culturally-based fraternities and sororities on campus. The following organizations are active on Georgia State University’s campus.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) - governs the historically Black fraternities and sororities on campus that are a member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). The following organizations are active on Georgia State University’s campus.

Panhellenic Council (PC) - governs the sororities on campus and is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). The following organizations are established and active on Georgia State University’s campus.
