Trick or Treat Fest 2017
Georgia State Greek Life partnered with Civic Engagement and University Housing to host Trick or Treat Fest. Held in Greek Housing, Greek organizations partnered together to provide a fun, safe Halloween celebration for students from several Atlanta elementary schools. Organizations from all councils were represented during this annual signature event.
Georgia State Greek organizations work all year to meet the pillars of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Friendship, and this event is a great example of organizations meeting the pillars of Service and Friendship. Organizations came together to serve the children in the Atlanta community while building relationships within the Georgia State community. Seeing the chapters collaborate and come together for this great cause shows how close Greek Life is!
In addition to participating in activities like face painting, bean bag toss, and a limbo line, students were invited to visit each town house in Greek Housing to trick-or-treat for candy. While all organizations showed their Halloween spirit through decorations and costumes, one team went above and beyond as they transformed a chapter house into a spooky haunted house.
This event could not have been so successful without the help of Civic Engagement, University Housing, all of the participating elementary schools, and the Oriental Trading Company. Greek Life looks forward to continuing this event and these partnerships for Halloweens to come!
