Greek Life is Growing
Delta Lambda Phi is our newest colony at Georgia State University. The group officially became a colony on the evening of Saturday, February 7, 2015, inducting 11 gentlemen into their Alpha Class.
Founded in Washington D.C. in 1986, Delta Lambda Phi is a traditional Greek social organization founded by and for a decidedly nontraditional group: gay, bisexual and progressive men. For over 25 years, Delta Lambda Phi has offered these men the opportunity to lead, grow and form lifelong bonds of friendship with other like minded men.
The three guiding principles of Delta Lambda Phi are:
- To develop dignified and purposeful, social, service and recreational activities, for progressive men irrespective of sexual orientation.
- To lead in determining the rights and privileges of individuals in society.
- To present a strong and positive image, which respects the diversity of all individuals irrespective of sexual orientation.
We are excited to welcome Delta Lambda Phi to Georgia State University, and we know they will be a valuable addition to our Greek Community and campus as a whole.
